Moving Forward - Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia

Moving Forward

As the Party approached its 40th National Delegates Conference due to be opened by Prime Minister cum Barisan Nasional Chairman, Dato Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak at Dewan Wawasan, Menara PGRM on 16th October 2011, the matter uppermost on every delegates mind is how the Party will fare in the coming 13th General Election. It will signify another very challenging phase of the Partys evolution to stay relevant and strong in Malaysians fast changing political landscape. Let us be united and strong to face the coming challenges.

As the party faces its future challenges, it has nonetheless firmly committed itself to the promotion of a Malaysian society that is proud of its racial and cultural diversity. As Gerakan expands its organisational base, it will continue to strive to harness greater influence at both the grassroot and governmental levels. Under the collective leadership of capable and dedicated leaders, the party will be able to play an active role in communicating the Rakyats aspirations to the highest authorities. We will never rest on our laurels. We will continue to seek this partnership with the people based on the principle that MALAYSIAN NATIONALISM is the most effective weapon to combat the root causes of communalism, extremism, religious fanaticism and cultural chauvinism.
